A huge hall, 350 exhibitors and 38 000 people eagerly waiting to hear about all the different options they have for their future. This is “Einstieg Hamburg”! On the 22nd and 23rd of February the admissions team of Jacobs University Bremen took part in the Hamburg fair to introduced study programs and discuss campus life to prospective students and their parents.
It was great to see so many people who were curious about our university and we, the admissions team, were happy to meet everyone, answer their questions and give advice. Many questions concerned the admission process and the deadline for applications. The last deadline for the fall semester 2013 is 1st June. Others wanted to know more about life on campus and the special events that take place. We were glad to tell them about the inter-cultural experience on campus, all our sports events, arts and music clubs, motivated students and our family-like community. Everything that makes this place so unique! In addition students and their parents wanted to know more about the career prospects after graduation from Jacobs. They were pleased to hear about the Career Service Centre (CSC) on campus, which helps students to find internships and jobs. The CSC is also in touch with many companies, which value Jacobs students highly and even visit our campus to meet them. One of the companies that recently visited us for their graduate program recruitment was Barry Callebaut.
